HR - Male police officers 'face discrimination because of female recruitment drive'

The Telegraph.co.uk posted an interesting article about a female recruitment drive that in the end is believed to be feeding discrimination towards male applicants. In the last 10 years their number of female officers has jumped around 10% in England and Wales. Check out the article below. What are your thoughts?

UK HR - Employers 'lifting recruitment freeze' - CareerStructure News

According to the Recruitment and Employment Confederation confidence in the economy is growing and more employers are dropping their hiring freeze. It will take time to recover but the employment opportunities will grow larger in the coming months.

EMPLOYMENT - Wind power jobs to double in EU by 2020 -study

By 2020 the European Union hopes to employ 330,000 people in jobs that result from the development of the wind power industry. The goal is to eventually have 12% of electricity in European Union to be derived from wind power. The goal is to lessen the global impact, lessen the dependency upon oil and gas imports and hopefully stimulate economic recovery.

Contemplate creating memorable ads that will stand out in your candidate's mind by utilizing and ad's environment in innovative ways. Here is an example from the UK Army that uses the fold in the middle of a two page spread. It is certainly different enough to cause candidates to pause and receive the message and stands out enough they might mention it to someone, hopefully bolstering word of mouth and general top-of-mind awareness.
