PRINT - Tonic Communications - Recruiting Designers & Copywriters

Found these a while ago for Tonic Communications when they were recruiting for designers and copywriters. I decided to hunt around and see if there were any additional pieces to the campaign. Seems that the Designer placement was quite close to a previous IBM ad (shown below.)

The copywriter ad is based around the optical illusion "I LOVE PARIS IN THE THE SPRINGTIME." Re-read the triangle, most people miss it the first time because the brain filters out the second "THE."

NON-TRADITIONAL - IMPACT/BBDO Copy Writer Ad

This was a copy writer ad for IMPACT/BBDO in Abu Dhabi.
If anything, this would at least catch some attention... Although it makes me wonder how potential candidates would then look at the agency. Either way it is one of those that catches my eye and makes me laugh a little

PRINT - HCC Group Hiring "Copyrighters" and Art Directors

Similar to previous campaigns but not quite as exclusive to those who might not be in the know are there HCC Group ads for a copywriter and art director. For the copywriter it stands out for the blatant misspelling and the art director is a little more subtle with the use of Comic Sans, a font most run screaming to the hills from. (see: http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/bancomicsans)

Although most that come across this might tilt their head in trying to figure out what is so special about the simple layout and text, those few who stop and chuckle get the joke and continue reading through the ad to see just who is looking for "copyrighters" and art directors.
