The use of video resumes continues to grow and the quality of those using them is greatly improving. Does your company allow potential employees to show off their qualities, abilities and interests this way?

A Little Monday Fun - Monster Job Hunter
I recently attended a convention and a film company had a short film they were promoting and thought I would share. Just a little something to make you smile; it is a little odd but still entertaining. :)

RECRUITMENT - Job seeker is willing to sing his own praises
Alec Biedrzycki recently graduated from Bently College with a degree in marketing. After trying several cover letters and resumes, he decided to try something new and created this musical resume. I like it!

VIDEO - What wouldn't people do for a job at CP+B?
It's tough to land your field related career right after college. Although it certainly helps if you find a creative way to market yourself. Brandon Kramer and Christy Pregont came up with a different idea for a cover letter to present to Crispin Porter + Bogusky ad agency. Hope you enjoy! Found on AdFreak.com

INTERNET - Social Media: The New Cover Letter?
This is a great discussion about the role of social media to candidates but in turn the same information can be applied to current HR recruitment. A corporate website and a piece of it being devoted to careers might be a great tool for traditional candidates and those that are actively searching but there is a growing segment that is thirsty for new information, more depth and more personality that many standard websites do not provide. It is by embellishing the extensions that a connection is made strong by displaying multiple sides of a company whether they be the technology, employees or leaders of a company. Not only are you showing other sides of a company but you are also reaching out to them on their ground.
What are your thoughts?

NON-TRADITIONAL - Museum Resume CV
I believe I came across this on adsoftheworld.com but I am not positive. The idea was that a museum post its resume outside on the building to help generate interest about its history. There are several ways I could see something like this working towards approaching candidates but not exactly in the same fashion. What are you thoughts?

MOBILE - txt ‘now’ 4 recruiting pwr
This is a new article touching briefly on the potential uses of texting for marketing and recruiting. It will certainly be interesting to see the kinds of applications that will be available to candidates on their phones in the coming year. Is your company currently using any kind of mobile marketing? What are you main concerns? What do you like best about it?http://www.cheezhead.com/2009/01/21/ved-txt-now-for-recruiting-power/

PRINT - www.mbrworldwide.com

This is a series of ads released for MBR World Wide that reach out to candidates to urge them to use their services to help their CVs reach out further than they might be able to do alone.
This is more about using their service, so not so much on recruiting efforts but the overall visuals may be how candidates are going to be thinking of their CVs and resumes right now due to the times. Placing a personal message, one that reaches out to candidates explaining your process of selection, may help to open that initial conversation.
