Twitter has created a new way to promote your business/advertise on their network. They are called "Promoted Tweets." When you are logged into your account and run a search from your homepage, the first tweet that appears will be the Promoted Tweet. The slight twist on this advertising, is that the Promoted Tweet must have been a tweet previously posted. They are also labeled with a yellow "Promoted by ___" box. The goal behind these is not just to gain exposure with your brand name but to also get the people searching for your topic to share information you are providing, like the ability to retweet your post and gain exposure. It will be interesting to see the response from the Twitter community now that this has happened.
Marketingvox.com posted an article about TwitJobSearch.com.
TweepML has compiled a list of employers that recruit on Twitter and made it easier for people to add the companies and follow them by simple checking what companies they want to logging into Twitter. With the constant growth of Twitter, more and more companies are posting their positions, giving an inside view of their company, or at least opening the door for communication between HR and potential candidates. Where does your company currently stand? Are you already on Twitter? Or is someone posing as you?
This is a nice overview of how to handle your twitter posts and how to decide what needs to be shared and how often to share among other tips.
How are you alerting your candidates that you have job fairs approaching?

This was a great article posted on ere.net that covered Sodexo's entry into the world of social networking and their success. What are your thoughts on your company's stance towards social networking? How do your competitors stand? A few days ago I saw an article posted about Amegy Bank of Texas and their policy never to use social networking for the recruitment process. What are your thoughts on this policy?
I came across this today and it talks about the notion of control when it comes to online branding and the stance of influence. It offers a nice view of what control is online and how to ease your company into social media. It also shows good reason to get your brand out there if it isn't already.

This is a nice example of being mindful of what you post online or write anywhere for that matter. In this day in age, information travels fast and anyone can see it. Recognizing this and remaining conscious of it are very important both to employers, candidates, employees and anyone in between. You never know who is watching/reading/following/stalking your posts/tweets/blogs/pods.
